Who is whispering in your ear?

SCRIPTURE: 2 Chronicles 21-28
Joash did well as long as he listened to the right voices (2 Chronicles 24:1-2; 17).
Which voices am I listening to, who is whispering in my ear?
The direction of my life will depend on the choices I make, the voices I heed.
What do you sense the Lord saying to you?
PRAYER
Lord, the voices in my head have been leading me down wrong paths. Help me to pay attention to Your voice, and to those who would point me in Your direction.

  1. Observations/Application
    God continues to maintain His promise inspite that His people did not follow His ways doing evil in the sight of the Lord. The ‘lamp’ will never go out – the silver lining – Jesus Christ.

    Whose way do I follow – the ways of man or the ways of God? Who is in charge? And how can others tell that I do follow His ways? And how do I know that I am following the ways of the Lord? How is He speaking/leading me in His way today? His Spirit is my Guardian and Guide and Encourager along the way as I serve Him this day. He speaks to me each day via His word. I need to apply His Word to my life each day anew so whatever I do is right in the eyes in the Lord. His Word is the ‘voice’ saying walk this way, My way. I need to seek the Lord who continues to be my Instructor. I need to walk in His ‘SonShine’ each day for He lights my way.

    Prayer
    Lord, lead me and guide me so that my eyes are focussed on You each day as I serve in Your Kingdom. Help me this day to do Your will.

    1. Make me a channel of your peace:
    Where there is hatred, let me bring you love;
    Where there is injury, your healing pow’r,
    And where there’s doubt, true faith in you.

    2. Make me a channel of your peace:
    Where there’s despair in life let me bring hope;
    Where there is darkness, – only light,
    And where there’s sadness, ever joy.

    3. O Spirit, grant that I may never seek
    So much to be consolded as to console,
    To be understood as to understand,
    To be loved as to love with all my soul – .

    4. Make me a channel of your peace.
    It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
    In giving to all that we receive,
    And in dying that we’re born to eternal life.
