SCRIPTURE: Mark 6:53-56
Jesus did not have miraculous clothing, there was nothing in the cloth that healed people.
It was the peoples’ hope and confidence in Jesus that opened their hearts to be healed by God.
Because God has sent Jesus, and stands behind Him, God works miracles through Him to help Him succeed.
It is not about the miracles, but about the Messiah: God wanted people to realize He is the one!
Jesus is God’s messenger, He represents God and His desire to restore and rebuild the world.
Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves. (John 14:10-11)
I am reminded of a story I once heard about a missionary who predicted rain in a region ravaged by drought, to prove that God was God; the missionary staked His success on God’s powerful intervention… and it rained.
It was not about the rain, but about revealing God and Jesus, confirming the message and the messenger!
God will back you too, if you put yourself on the line for Him; He will support your witness and your service, producing greater results than you could ever produce yourself – not for your glory but for His.
In fact, Jesus adds: Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it. (John 14:12-13)

PRAYER
God, You stand behind me when I step out to love and serve and bless in Jesus’ Name. Through me, You touch people with power. Use my hands, my words, my deeds, my clothes, to impact and bless many today!

Observations/Application
The people recognized Jesus and brought all their sick to Him for healing. And He healed them. That’s a physical healing. What about their spiritual healing? That gives life and life eternal.. The hearts need touching. May the peoples today continue to ‘run’ to Jesus for their healing so that they live for Jesus every day. We all need Christ’s power to energize us to walk daily in His SonShine to make us GodStrong. May we Spirit driven to be His instruments of peace. He is the Source for wholesome living.
Prayer
God, You are my Energizer. Touch me each day anew so that my life is in Your service always.
All that I am I owe to Thee,
Thy wisdom, Lord, has fashioned me;
I give my Maker thankful praise,
Whose wondrous works my soul amaze.
Ere into being I was brought,
Thine eye did see, and in Thy thought
My life in all its perfect plan
Was ordered ere my days began.
Thy thoughts, O God, how manifold,
More precious unto me than gold!
I muse on their infinity,
Awaking I am still with Thee.
The wicked Thou shalt surely slay,
From me let sinners turn away;
They speak against the Name divine,
I count God’s enemies as mine.
Search me, O God, my heart discern,
Try me, my inmost thought to learn;
And lead me, if in sin I stray,
To choose the everlasting way.
