  1. Observation/Application
The story of Samson and the Spirit of the Lord stirred in Him. Even going against his parent’s wishes, God uses His ways His wonders to perform because he would become a thorn in the enemies’ side because the Spirit of the Lord moved him to action. That refrain comes again when he struck down the Philistines with the jawbone of the donkey. And he reigned the people of Israel for 20 years. The land had peace.
But even as a victor in the Lord’s army, Samson went his own way – a womanizer. He knows God’s rules and yet – this is all man’s struggle – even mine. Knowing the way of the Lord and doing it is a daily struggle. God’s Spirit also needs to drive us from day to day. As Samson talked with God while bound in the temple, so too I need to talk with my God in my daily life to lead and guide me always.
When there was no king in the land – no leader – the people did what was right in his own eyes. No shepherd = lost sheep. The rules for hospitality were also gone as was shown by the Levite.
The battles with the Israelites and Benjamites made the people come into the Lord’s presence once again – they asked the Lord for guidance something that they had forgotten. When in trials we come to the Lord in prayer and when all is well we loose our way. God continues to speak to His people so that they will remember His ways – since they are so blinded by their own authority.power.

    Prayer:
Lord help me to see You today as I live this day in Your presence. Not my way but Your will be done. Help me to live FaithStrong and WWJD.

Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!
Thou art the Potter, I am the clay.
Mold me and make me after Thy will,
While I am waiting, yielded and still.

Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!
Search me and try me, Master, today!
Whiter than snow, Lord, wash me just now,
As in Thy presence humbly I bow.

Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!
Wounded and weary, help me, I pray!
Power, all power, surely is Thine!
Touch me and heal me, Savior divine.

Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!
Hold o’er my being absolute sway!
Fill with Thy Spirit ’till all shall see
Christ only, always, living in me.
