1. Observations:
   Once again the people were reminded of the laws for living before the face of the Lord and the people said Amen. If the Word of the Lord is obeyed, then blessings will be the peoples. Do this and live and be the example to the people around you. However disobedience will mean the opposite – ruin and destruction and hardship and disease and . . . death. The Lord is very specific on future happenings to His people should they forsake their One and Only God – even the diseases which were inflicted upon the Egyptians – will be upon them until they are destroyed.

   The word is before them – in the mouth and in the heart so that they may obey it. Choose LIFE for the Lord your God is LIFE!

   Moses command once again reminds the people to be strong and courageous because the Lord God goes before His people. Read the law repeatedly so that the people learn to live the law. Teach them the song for it will testify against them. A song of faithfulness of the Lord God. A memory stone? The song of Moses.

   The people were reminded of the word of God – their Shield and Helper

   Applications:
   But to this day the Lord has not given you a mind that understands or eyes that see or ears that hear. Yet the Lord made His covenant with His people. You are my people and I am your God. Remember. Remember. Do this and live. Do not abandon the covenant and go after other gods, because the curses will occur. Only when we serve Him He will bless, even after we have fallen away. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and soul and mind so that God delights in His people because they follow His Word.
   Once again I praise Him for the songs which remind me of the greatness of our God – songs of praise – songs of God’s faithfulness – songs of God’s power – songs of God’s greatness – songs of His awesomeness. My God is an awesome God!

   Again and again I need to hear he Word of the lord and delve into that Word so that I live that Word each day as a day of the Lord God almighty.

   Prayer:
   Guide me in my walk this day Lord.

   O Master, let me walk with Thee,
   In lowly paths of service free;
   Tell me Thy secret; help me bear
   The strain of toil, the fret of care.
   Help me the slow of heart to move
   By some clear, winning word of love;
   Teach me the wayward feet to stay,
   And guide them in the homeward way.

   O Master, let me walk with Thee,
   Before the taunting Pharisee;
   Help me to bear the sting of spite,
   The hate of men who hide Thy light.

   The sore distrust of souls sincere
   Who cannot read Thy judgments clear,
   The dullness of the multitude,
   Who dimly guess that Thou art good.

   Teach me Thy patience; still with Thee
   In closer, dearer, company,
   In work that keeps faith sweet and strong,
   In trust that triumphs over wrong.

   In hope that sends a shining ray
   Far down the future’s broadening way,
   In peace that only Thou canst give,
   With Thee, O Master, let me live.
