  1. Observations:
The Psalmist opens this psalm with the words that christ spoke from the cross. They are the words of a God believer in deep despair, anguish and pain. They are the cries of a child of the Kingdom. David recites past history when the mighty hand of God saved His people. The people trusted the Lord as he does and yet he finds no deliverance as the people of Israel.
In the time of trouble, the Lord God is still his strength and David asks for deliverance. He continues to declare His name and tells that those who seek Him will be satisfied . God rules. He is in charge. He has dominion. He rules. Tell the next generation that our God reigns! Our world belongs to God.

    Application:
Remember that the Lord my God is God. He is my Father and I need to tell my Father all – joys and sorrows, highlights and lowlights, closeness or distance in my relations with Him. He is my father and I must share all, not only with hHim but share also my relationship with Him to the next generations so they too see that my God reigns. Future generations need to be told about the mighty acts of God. I need to be a ‘proclaimer’ – telling and sharing what the Lord has done for me.

    Prayer:
Empower me Lord to be a Proclaimer – your champion.
