SCRIPTURE: Psalm 19
OBSERVATIONS
Everything around us affirms the goodness and the greatness of God. The universe is like a book, or a billboard, or a loudspeaker, pointing us to God. I think this is what is behind the Design Theory, that behind the amazing design of the Universe there is, there has to be, a Designer.
In addition, God’s message (law, truth, wisdom, precepts) is good, pleasing, perfect, exactly what we need to experience life to the full. God’s message, as revealed in the bible, but especially through Jesus, is the way, the truth, the life.
David knows he does not measure up, but He wants to honor and serve God. His heart’s desire is to live a God-like, God-pleasing life. This is His prayer, this is His passion, this is what motivates him.
What do you notice in this passage?
APPLICATION
Do I sense God everywhere? Do I experience the sunrise, a child’s face, a scientific discovery, an encouraging word, a musical composition, a starry night, etc. as pointers and messengers from God, God speaking to get my attention, to remind me that He is, that He is here, that He is great, that He is good?
Do I appreciate the wisdom and truth of God’s will, do I make an effort to follow it… or do I just read it, preach it, but not strive to do it?
Do I want to love, honor and serve God everywhere, always?
What do you sense the Lord saying to you?
PRAYER
Lord, I need this reminder and this challenge. There is no excuse for me not sensing You, and no excuse for me not serving You. It is not the lack of opportunity or ability, but the lack of desire, that holds me back. I want to want to!

Observations:
The Creation shouts God’s presence silently for all to see. It is stunning. It champions the Creator God.
And His law is sure giving peace to all who are right – doing His will in their lives. His Word tells where to walk – in His Light so that sin has no hold on us.
God is my Rock and Redeemer because I am in His SonShine.
Application:
Open my eyes Lord that I see your radiance each day anew – from the rising of the sun to its setting. Lead me guide me in the Way by Your Word so that my head and heart and hands are in sync doing Your will. Thank You Jesus for the life possible in You, forgiving my faults so that I can be blameless.
Happiness is . . life in Christ, my Surety.
Prayer:
Help me each day anew Lord to live for You because I need You every hour to stay on the path. Be near me and Guide me always in the Way I should go. Speak Lord, for I am listening.
