do nothing for two minutes

Can you manage, can you succeed, or will you FAIL.
Click on this link and spend two minutes of doing nothing, just sit there.
Just relax and listen to the waves.
Don’t touch your mouse or keyboard.
Its funny – or sad – but I have yet to make it through two minutes.
But right now I am going to force myself to.
Give it a try.
And afterwards, post some comments on how it worked for you, and why it is so hard to just be still.

  1. I did it!
    It worked better for me to close my eyes, the clock was too much of a distraction.
    I also found my imagination taking over, wondering what kind of surprise might be waiting for me when I finished.
    You’ll have to finish it to find out for yourself.
    I do wonder whether this little exercise is an indication of how tense, crazy, busy, hyper our lives – and therefore our souls – have become.
    Really, we should be able to do this for longer periods of time.
    What is the longest you can be still for?
