  1. Observations:
    The specific instructions for the Passover meal done in community to commemorate as a festival to the Lord for all what He has done for you.
    Once again, tell what this story means to the next generation.
    And the people did what the Lord commanded – obedience.
    We observe various celebrations to remember what the Lord our God has done for us. This way the next generation will know what mighty deeds the Lord had done for them.
    In the Exodus, the people forget so quickly the power of God such as the pillar of cloud – God leading them. Listen to His voice and do.
    How soon the people forget – the ‘grumble bees.’ Even in His presence the people did not see Him.
    Grumble bees also at the rock for lack of water questioning whether the Lord was with them or not.

    Applications:
    The reading shows the mighty acts of the Lord but time and time again, the people forgot the mighty deeds the Lord had done for them. So what about today? I too need to tell the next generation how the the Lord rescued His people – the mighty acts of God – just like Moses told Jethro. I need to tell the Story to the next generation what the Lord God has done for His people so that they too will know that God reigns and that too will see His mighty presence today.

    Prayer:
    help me this day to live and continue to tell the story of what the Lord has done. May I always see how the Lord is still busy working among His people. Open my eyes and ears Lord.

    I love to tell the story of unseen things above,
    Of Jesus and His glory, of Jesus and His love.
    I love to tell the story, because I know ’tis true;
    It satisfies my longings as nothing else can do.
    Refrain

    I love to tell the story, ’twill be my theme in glory,
    To tell the old, old story of Jesus and His love.

    I love to tell the story; more wonderful it seems
    Than all the golden fancies of all our golden dreams.
    I love to tell the story, it did so much for me;
    And that is just the reason I tell it now to thee.

    Refrain

    I love to tell the story; ’tis pleasant to repeat
    What seems, each time I tell it, more wonderfully sweet.
    I love to tell the story, for some have never heard
    The message of salvation from God’s own holy Word.

    Refrain

    I love to tell the story, for those who know it best
    Seem hungering and thirsting to hear it like the rest.
    And when, in scenes of glory, I sing the new, new song,
    ’Twill be the old, old story that I have loved so long.
