  1. Observations:
    Our story will be forgotten by the next generation. And yet God raises His own among the foreign people to further His own cause – His kingdom will come.
    God uses people such as Pharaoh’s daughter to further His kingdom.
    In their sorrows/dispair, the people cried to the Lord.
    Moses saw the Lord in the burning bush – an awesome sight.
    God instructs and yet Moses doubts his own capabilities. God tells Him once again what would happen and yet Moses still doubted all.
    God was very patient with Moses and shared more of His plan with him.
    Moses took the staff of God in Hand when he returned to Egypt.
    In their misery, the people did see the hand of the Lord and worshipped the King.
    But a few days later they couldn’t see the Lord because their hardship increased. A grumbling lot with a quick change of heart. Ears they had but did not hear God nor see Him.
    The Lord’s hand is with His people and they needed to see the mighty hand of the Lord.

    Applications:
    Nothing should ever come between God and His people as was shown by Moses, not even the thin leather soles of our shoes for we too are standing upon holy ground. Our world belongs to God and we are His instruments, His channels of peace. But as was with Moses, so too it is with me, I am fearful to speak up, speak out because I too am a man of few words. I too need to open my eyes and ears to see how the Lord God has prepared everything so that I can be a living witness.

    All too often I trust in my powers and not His. He has prepared the way. I need the upward look rather than the downward look. He has promised and I must trust His promise. He is the Lord! Why doubt? Look and see His mighty acts from day to day.

    Just do it:-)

    Prayer:
    Lord, as you were with Your people long ago, leading and guiding them in the way to go, lead me and guide me this day to do Your will.

    In doubt and temptation I rest, Lord, in Thee;
    My hand is in Thy hand, Thou carest for me;
    My soul with Thy counsel through life Thou wilt guide,
    And afterward make me in glory abide.
    Refrain

    My God, I will extol Thee
    And ever bless Thy Name;
    Each day will I give thanks to Thee
    And all Thy praise proclaim.

    In glory Thou only my portion shall be,
    On earth for none other I long for but Thee;
    My flesh and heart falter, but God is my stay,
    The strength of my spirit, my portion for aye.

    Refrain

    All they that forsake Thee must perish and die,
    But near to my Savior most blessèd am I;
    I make Thee my refuge, my Lord and my G
