Wow, not only have I been in Port Perry for 10 years, the first Tim Horton’s here in Port Perry is also celebrating their 10th anniversary. But now I am leaving… For the last 10 years I have been going to Tim Horton’s almost every morning for my own quiet time, sitting in the same booth. But now that I am leaving, that period in my life will end. At least at this Tim Hortons.
OK, so maybe its not a big deal, but I have lots of great memories of my time alone with God, reading and journaling and praying. And also meeting people in my booth.
So imagine my delight at discovering that the Tim Horton’s/Wendy’s is closed for renovations, and all the interior seats and tables are being removed. And thanks to inside connections (Ros Bandstra) Durham Christian High can have that furniture for their ‘cafeteria’. But the big news is… I can take my own booth with me. Yes, I am acquiring the booth from the Tim Hortons where I sat these last 10 years. Somehow I am going to set it up in my home office, my own special place.
Call me weird, call me sentimental, but this is really cool!
Oh my goodness! Thats so funny! Don’t tell me that God doesn’t pay attention to the details of our lives – another proof that God, like a loving father, is pleased to bring a smile to his children’s face!
