Healing prayer

PLEASE READ THIS FIRST: Psalm 32

What do you sense the Lord saying to you in this passage?

“I will confess my transgressions to the Lord. And you forgave the guilt of my sin.” (Psalm 32:5)
David senses what an amazing thing it is to be forgiven/released by God.
It is better than trying to hide your struggle, which only eats you up on the inside.
When we are honest with the Lord, we discover he is not eager to punish but to heal.
David urges everyone to join him in being honest with the Lord!
Don’t be stubborn (like a mule)… that only brings more trouble and heartache.
Allow the Lord to embrace you with his gracious, healing love.
So why do I talk about honesty and repentance but resist doing it?
Do I want to feel the burden lifted, to have my strength renewed?
David reminds me that as hard as admitting my struggle is, hiding from it is worse.
The Lord is inviting me into the joy, blessing and healing of repentance.
Forget about the formalities and fancy prayer language, just be honest and real.
Tell him about every weakness, struggle, sin… he already knows anyway.
“If we confess our sins he will forgive us our sins…” (1 John 1:9)
Healing prayer – taking your burdens to the one who wants to release and renew you!
PRAYER
Lord, I need to stop thinking or talking about this, I need to do it. Thank you for the promise of renewal and blessing, as I open my heart to you!

  1. Sin – can fester. I need to deal with it and admit it! “Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.” And you forgave the guilt of my sin.” Really, whom am I to think that I can hide anything from God! Yet, at times I try to ignore something I need to confess, hoping it will just go away – stay in the back recesses of my mind. Yet there is festers. Lord, help me to come clean and to fight sin right away – for you are ready again and again – which simply amazes me – to forgive me. Lord help me to grow that I sin less and less – to be more like you Jesus!

  2. Good morning, Lord.
A new day. Another day to serve You and walk in Your presence.
You are the wind beneath my wings. You are my Shield and Protector. All what I do and say You see. You continue to lead me and guide me in the way to go. With open ears I hear You saying, ‘This is the way. Walk in it.’ This day is like other days – the Lord’s day and I must serve Him. So prayerfully I live this day in His presence and pray that others may see that I am His and He is mine as I serve Him in words and deeds.
Happiness is walking with my Saviour.

When we walk with the Lord
in the light of his word,
what a glory he sheds on our way!
While we do his good will,
    he abides with us still,
and with all who will trust and obey.
