PLEASE READ THIS FIRST: Psalm 92
What do you sense the Lord saying to you in this passage?
“It is good to praise the Lord…” (Psalm 92:12)
This psalm says it is good for us to us to praise the Lord.
Why would it be healthy, and helpful, to praise the Lord.
If we dwell on what is good, hopeful, positive, inspiring, we will benefit.
But negative, discouraging, dark thinking will drag our down.
It is good to recall the good that God is doing all around us.
We take for granted so many everyday blessings and miracles.
Worse, we tend to focus on the bad things, what we lack, what is wrong.
I have seen God’s greatness and goodness so many times, I can’t deny it.
But do I express it, do I tell people about it, do I focus on it?
It would be good for me to say it more, it would bless me and others!
“Proclaiming your love in the morning, your faithfulness at night.”(Psalm 92:2)
Not just in church on Sundays, but every day, morning and evening.
Take some time right now to offer some simple statements of praise.
Praise the Lord for (_______________), it will be good for you!
PRAYER
Lord, you are constantly showing me how you love and support and help me. Help me to become more expressive of my appreciation!
” I sing for joy at what your hands have done.” When I reflect on what Jesus did for me – I cry – it’s so much that I don’t deserve. He has blessed me with life and life everlasting – and has given me the gift of the HS – who works in me – sometimes frustratingly so. I praise you my Lord and my King! May I like the Psalmist declare as I age: “They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, “The Lord is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.”
It is good to greet the Lord each new day, a new day to serve Him. Always have the upward look from where my help comes from and not the downward look. Always walk in His SonShine. Always give thanks knowing the attitude of gratitude with altitude seeing His handiwork every day. From my rising in the morning to my setting at night – throughout the day there needs to be songs of praise on my lips.
1 Praise him, praise him,
praise him in the morning,
praise him in the noontime.
Praise him, praise him,
praise him when the sun goes down.
2 Love him, love him,
love him in the morning,
love him in the noontime.
love him, love him,
love him when the sun goes down.
3 Trust him, trust him,
trust him in the morning,
trust him in the noontime.
Trust him, trust him,
trust him when the sun goes down.
4 Serve him, serve him,
serve him in the morning,
serve him in the noontime.
Serve him, serve him,
serve him when the sun goes down.
5 Jesus, Jesus,
Jesus in the morning,
Jesus in the noontime.
Jesus, Jesus,
Jesus when the sun goes down.
