dcla day 4

Today was much like yesterday.
We started with the Labs (small groups) from 10-12, then did lunch on the lawn outside of the center.
While we did lunch, we practiced the street play (same one that Senior Wave did at church).
While we were doing do, it got a double ace approval from an observer with mental health issues, who excitedly recognized God as the helper, and wanted to take out the man (Jesse) who was chasing the lead person.
By the way, we are eating packed lunches, saving money!
Afternoon sessions followed, though we’re getting information overload.
For supper we at at Subway (sorry Nathan), then Norm and Ralph waited in the massive crowd of eager teenagers, to hold a good seat for the group.
After braving the stampede, almost getting crushed (a bit over dramatic), we got a row of good seats, only to discover that the youth had got in early the other way with the wheelchair (the girl from Belleville) and got front row seats!
The sessions continue to go well, we finally got to Jesus in the story of the bible.
It finished with a powerful worship time, the youth were visibly moved.
God is working, in them and in us.
Came back to the residence to share our God-moments…
Then to sleep, up earlier tomorrow morning, for the last day!
Really cool to see how the youth are blending with the Belleville group.
Also to get to know each of them, to see them in action, hear them share their hearts.
For all of you who can’t imagine doing a trip like this, you don’t know what you are missing!

  1. Hey guys,

I finally got a chance to look at the DCLA photos. I didn’t expect there to be so many….great job Norm! They’re fantastic, and it looks like you’re all having a great time. I hope your time there continues to be a blessing to all of you. Hugs and kisses to my guys – that would be Ralph and Zach 🙂
