Changing how I think of others?

THE STORY OF JESUS: Acts 10:23-43
“God has shown me that I should not call anyone impure or unclean.” (Acts 10:28)
Peter is acting on what God has shown him.
Cornelius also acted on what God showed him.
What has God shown us, and are we acting on it?
Do we treat some people as clean, and others as unclean?
How do we treat the homeless, or people of other cultures and faiths?
How do we deal with those who are a part of the LGBT community?
How do we speak of the police, or government officials?
How do we respond to those who have cheated or hurt us?
“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” (Micah 6:8)

As a Jesus follower, my need and desire is to be like Jesus.
To love those He loves, in the way that He loves.
If they will know that we are Jesus followers by our love, will others see it in us?
Am I acting on what God has shown me through Jesus?
What do you sense the Lord saying to you?
PRAYER
Lord, open my eyes to see how they are closed. Open my heart that I may love who You love, and serve those that You serve!

  1. My way or God’s Way.
    Whose voice do I listen to?
    Do this and live, that is what the Master says. Live and do this.
    Volunteering here in the South opens one’s eyes and I need to be like Christ unto them . not being prejudiced but showing the love of Christ unto all. “Be at peace with all mankind.” Be as Christ unto them.

    Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
    Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
    Where there is injury, pardon;
    Where there is doubt, faith;
    Where there is dispair, hope;
    Where there is darkness, light;
    Where there is sadness, joy;

    O Divine Master,
    Grant that I may not so much seek
    To be consoled as to console;
    To be understood as to understand;
    To be loved as to love.

    For it is in giving that we receive;
    It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
    And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
