Hearing Jesus calling!

THE STORY OF JESUS: Acts 9:1-9
“They heard the sound but did not see anyone.” (Acts 9:7)
Paul’s experience was different than his companions.
The Lord works differently in each person’s life.
Christians are people who have heard the Lord calling them.
Those around them may sense something, but not know Who it is.
Two people can go through the same crisis, yet only one will meet Jesus in it.
The reason for the difference is because each one of us is a unique child of God.
God does not force us, but customizes His approach to each one of us.
Like a good teacher who knows each student, how each one learns differently.
You can be sure that the Lord is reaching out to you in your life in some way.
I am a Jesus follower because Jesus has ‘spoken’ to my heart.
I have never heard a voice, but I have sensed His presence, His mercy and love.
In my life circumstances and experiences, in moments of conviction and insight.
You may not see or hear what I do, but to me it is real – and life changing.
My prayer is that you will hear Jesus’ voice today, and be changed too!
What do you sense the Lord saying to you?
PRAYER
Lord, I know You are speaking to the people I know… but could You speak louder and clearer today, that they may know it is You, and believe!

  1. Stop.
    Look.
    Listen.
    Listen to the voice saying, This is the way. Walk in it.
    Not my will but His will be done.
    I need to be in tune with God’s will and in order to have that I need to talk with my Lord and Saviour. Do this and Live. Really live. Guide me also this day Lord to do Your will.

    Guide me, O Thou great *Jehovah, [*Redeemer]
    Pilgrim through this barren land;
    I am weak, but Thou art mighty,
    Hold me with Thy pow’rful hand.
    Bread of heaven, Bread of heaven,
    Feed me till I want no more;
    Feed me till I want no more.

    Open now the crystal fountain,
    Whence the healing stream doth flow;
    Let the fire and cloudy pillar
    Lead me all my journey through.
    Strong Deliv’rer, strong Deliv’rer,
    Be Thou still my Strength and Shield;
    Be Thou still my Strength and Shield.

    Lord, I trust Thy mighty power,
    Wondrous are Thy works of old;
    Thou deliver’st Thine from thralldom,
    Who for naught themselves had sold:
    Thou didst conquer, Thou didst conquer
    Sin and Satan and the grave,
    Sin and Satan and the grave.

    When I tread the verge of Jordan,
    Bid my anxious fears subside;
    Death of death and hell’s Destruction,
    Land me safe on Canaan’s side.
    Songs of praises, songs of praises,
    I will ever give to Thee;
    I will ever give to Thee.
