THE STORY OF JESUS: Mark 13:9-13
“And the gospel must first be preached to all nations.” (Mark 13:10)
Why are we still living in this messed up world?
Why doesn’t Jesus protect us from betrayal, arrest, flogging and death?
Apparently Jesus needs us for a job: to let the nations know the good news.
Jesus’ followers (not just ministers) are sent to share the good news hope with others.
Jesus has His sights on the world, not just a select group… ALL nations.
His heart goes out to His whole family – “a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.” (Revelation 7:9)
Our job is not to convert or convince, our job is to witness.
The Lord uses our presence in this dark world to spread the word.
He will speak through us, His Spirit will do the converting and convincing.
“Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.” (Mark 13:11)
Pay attention today to the people you speak with – see them as Jesus sees, them, as family!
Syrian, Chinese, Sri Lankan, American, Chilean, Kenyan, Lithuanian, the good news for them all.
In your office, do you bleed good news, do people sense the growing love, joy and peace in you?
There are still people out there who need this good news!!!
We cannot do this unless we are first experiencing Jesus as good news for us.
It is not easy, but He will help you.
Don’t give up, even if it gets hard; stand firm and you will see the pay off in the end.

PRAYER
Lord, I do not want to suffer or be hated, but I do want others to experience the good news that You are. Make me humble yet make me bold. Move me by Your Spirit to speak the truth in love.
