This new life

SCRIPTURE: Acts 5:17-26
“Tell the people all about this new life.” (Acts 5:20)
What is ‘this new life’ that they were to tell others about?
Is ‘this new life’ something I’ve experienced, or something I’ve read about?
I really mean this question, is ‘this new life’ real to me?
I’m not casting doubt on the reality of ‘this new life’.
But is it something I’d be willing to be arrested for?
These apostles are eventually arrested, and killed, for believing what they did.
But they had seen and heard too much NOT to believe it, not to die for it.
I once heard someone say, ‘look at the life of an average Christian you know.’
‘Does this look like good news to you, something you would want others to have?’
Maybe my problem is the ‘average Christian’ that I am, and that I know.
Maybe I need to spend time with those who are out there, putting their lives on the line for Jesus…
What do you sense the Lord saying to you?
PRAYER
Lord, for too long I have been trying to spark revival when I don’t have it myself. Ignite ‘this new life’ in me, that it may naturally show through me.
