Something to give!

SCRIPTURE: Acts 3:1-10
“Silver or gold I do not have… in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” (Acts 3:6)
Someone observed that these are two things Christians can’t say anymore.
They meant it as a criticism, how we have become worldly and weak.
“But what I do have I give you.” (Acts 3:6)
This is the key verse for me: am I ready to give what I do have?
Having been with sick people, I have prayed for their healing, but nothing happened.
That does not mean my work is done, for I still have my time, my support, my love.
I can listen, I can help them in practical ways, I can alleviate some of their concerns.
And I have heard people ‘praising God’ for His care through others.
I will keep on praying for healing and strength… but what I do have I will also give!
Every day God sets us up to help others, whether through the miracle of healing or help.
What do you have, what can you give… and who in your life right now can you give it to?
What do you sense the Lord saying to you?
PRAYER
Lord, open my eyes to see the people in my path, and show me how much I do have to give to others, that they too may praise You for Your love through me.
