SCRIPTURE: John 3:22-36
“Whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.” (John 3:36)
If Someone with a deadly disease rejects the cure, they will not see life.
This is not mean or judgmental, this is not unloving of the doctor.
Our disease is sin, our moral crimes and failures, which have caused such misery and suffering.
God is not unfairly angry, nor is He refusing to forgive… but we need to want it.
The same Voice of God that created life, and that holds life together, has come to us.
He has stepped into our sin-messed world to offer hope, healing, to make things right.
He does not belong to Christianity, nor is Christianity the best or only religion.
Christianity, along with every other religion, must become less, and Jesus become more.
Jesus is not limited by the church (though He does work through it); He is for all people.
All faiths, all cultures, all time periods, all races – He offers hope for all.
On the day they hear His Voice, and the Spirit speaks to their heart about healing, hope, life…
If they reject God’s Voice, if they refuse God’s help, they will not see life.
This is not mean or judgmental, this is not unloving of God.
God’s Voice speaks to us everyday, calling us back, urging us to seek His help.
As long as we refuse, we cannot see life, for He is the only source of life.
What do you sense the Lord saying to you?
PRAYER
Lord, too often we get in the way of Your Voice, and people refuse You because of us. Help us to become less, and You become more, that people can see – and accept – the life You offer.

Observation/Application
Jesus is the answer. He has to become more and I less. John knew his purpose in life – in living for Jesus. All for Jesus.
John knew the truth yet many who came to Jesus did not see Him as the answer. Another false prophet? Hardly. We all need eyes to see and ears to hear what God’s Messenger has to say to His people. Life is possible only through Him. There is no other way. All is a possibility only through His power. God had enabled Him.
And
He enables His people
if they only trust and obey.
Listen to the Voice saying
This is the Wy.
Walk in it.
Help me this day to walk Your Way Lord.
Open my ears that I may hear You
Always.
