SCRIPTURE: Isaiah 53-59
Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter — when you see the naked, to clothe them, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?” (Isaiah 58:6-7)
God is like a single parent, starting a new relationship with someone.
How do you think that parent will feel if their new partner abuses their child.
No matter how much that partner says they love them, it won’t negate the hurting of their child.
God feels this way: stop telling me that you love me, and then mistreating my children.
Stop telling me how thankful you are to me, and then ruin my creation.
God is not looking for religious ceremonies, He is looking for His love to be shared and returned.
God wants ALL of His children to enjoy life and blessing in His creation kingdom.
What I hear in this passage is that no matter how religious I am, it means nothing if I am not kind, merciful, generous, compassionate, forgiving, humble, etc.
What does the Lord require of us – church attendance, donations to the church, singing worship songs, acts of charity?
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. (Micah 6:8)
This is the kind of worship that makes God smile, that brings joy to His heart.
What do you sense the Lord saying to you?
PRAYER
Lord, You have shown me how You want me to live. You are the perfect model of justice, mercy and humility. Help me t worship God this way!

Observation/Application
Jesus was our scapegoat
taking the sins of the people upon Himself
doing the will of the Father.
God is our Redeemer
and He is with us forevermore.
In all situations He is with us.
He is our strength and our song.
Just listen o Him.
See what He has done in days past
and His faithfulness in your life.
Just do what is right
and hold fast to His promises.
Those taken away are spared of the evil
in this present world having the peace of God.
Take refuge in the Lord God always and live forever.
He is our peace.
Walk every day with the Lord and walk in His Light
and not our own ways.
Walk in His SonShine and your light
will also shine through you for the Lord God
is our strength for He is our power and strength.
My joy is in the Lord.
Speak oft will the Lord.
Be an open book in His presence
Walk in His Way and know peace
and walk in His Light.
Open our ears Lord.
Open our eyes Lord
that we may see You clearly
for You are my salvation and my Redeemer
Guide me daily by Your Spirit.

Pilgrim through this barren land.
