More willing than weak?

SCRIPTURE: Mark 14:37-42
In my good moments, I am like Peter (Mark 14:31), I can take on the world.
But I am very aware of my weaker moments, when my body surpasses my spirit.
Tired, drained, overwhelmed, pressured, burdened, these are dangerous times for me.
Jesus became fully human, and He endured these things like me, like us all.
But he also knew the secret to success: watch and pray!
Three times He prays, though nothing seems to change; three times He prays, though His close friends let Him down.
He refuses to let go, He fights and wrestles and perseveres.
His willingness exceeds His weakness, while their weakness exceeded their willingness.
I need to recognize when I am weak, when I am vulnerable, when I am under attack – tired, drained, overwhelmed, pressured, burdened – and I need to take steps to arm myself for battle.
I will not coast into victory, I need God (PRAY), and I need determination (WATCH).
What do you sense the Lord saying to you?
PRAYER
God, I am weak. I cannot do this on my own, but neither can I expect You to do everything for me. As I PRAY to Your for help, may I also determine to WATCH, to do everything I can to stand firm and stay true!
