What kind of impact has Jesus had on your life?

SCRIPTURE: Mark 1:40-45
Jesus warns the man NOT to tell people about His miraculous healing.
Can you blame the man for wanting to tell people?
When something huge happens to us, don’t we naturally want to share it?
The size of the experience directly affects the eagerness to tell others.
Find a quarter, no big deal… but win a million dollars!!!
Can I tell how big my experience of Jesus is by looking at my eagerness to share it?
Would Jesus have to hide in my area because I bragged about Him so much?
Has Jesus had a life-changing, miraculous impact on my life?
Should He have such an impact on every person who genuinely meets Him?
I sense the Lord probing me about His impact on my life.
What do you sense the Lord saying to you?
PRAYER
Lord, the honest answer is Yes and No. Yes, You have had a huge impact on my life, but No, I do not act like it. Help me, heal me again, so that I am eager to tell others!

  1. Observations:
    Our will and Christ’s will. Are we in tune? The leprosy man asked if Christ was willing for certainly the man was willing to be healed. And when he was, he rejoiced greatly. Christ told him to be quiet but how could he? See what the Lord God has done for me? And many more wanted the same.

    Application:
    See what the Lord God has done for me? I too must be His storyteller so all those I meet and greet will know what the Lord God has done for me. I must be His storekeeper so that the next generation and this generation the mighty work of God. As I live this day in His presence, do I see Him, His presence in the beauty around me, His doings in my life, His doings in the extended family, His doing in the caring of this His world. My world belongs to God and I must be able to see Him everywhere.

    Prayer:
    Open my eyes Lord.

    When I was in trouble, my way was dark as night,
    But Jesus gave me comfort, and brought me to the light;
    He took away my sorrow, and made my burden light,
    He is everything to me.

    Refrain:
    If it wasn’t for the Lord, tell me what would I do?
    Oh, tell me, what would I do? Oh, tell me, what would I do?
    If it wasn’t for the Lord, tell me, what would I do?
    He is everything to me.

    He is bread in dry places, He’s water in a thirsty land;
    He is my rock and shelter, He holds me by the hand;
    And when my friends forsake me, close by my side He’ll stand,
    He is everything to me.

    So when my life is ended, and I must surely die,
    Then He will be my gateway up to that home on high;
    And in that golden city, there’ll be no more goodbyes,
    He is everything to me.
