what is ordinary spirituality?

Some people think that spirituality is a dimension of life outside of ordinary reality.
We interrupt our normal activities to do something spiritual: pray, reads the bible, go to church, be still.
But this is not true, not real; every part of life has a spiritual dimension.
Walking, breathing, creating, imagining, copulating, parenting, conversing, eating, partying, dancing, dating, sleeping, crying…
Every day in every way involves a spiritual way of being.

Jesus does not come to introduce a new regimen of religious (or spiritual) activities.
Instead He shows us how to live each day in a spiritual way, by loving God and people in all we do and say.
Today in the shop, in the kitchen, in the office, in the car, in the classroom, I am experiencing an ordinary day with Jesus.
With His help (I cannot do it by myself), I can work and rest, read and play, listen and talk, visit and pray, help and serve, in a spiritual way.
Today is an ordinary day with Jesus, and I choose to make it extraordinary by doing every little thing in a way that honours Him.
