SCRIPTURE: Psalm 12
OBSERVATIONS
What do you notice in this passage?
APPLICATION
What do you sense the Lord saying to you?
PRAYER
Observations:
There are non that are faithful: none that the Psalmist trusts.
The words they speak are not truthful.
Their hearts are inclined to evil.
The poor and needy cry out.
AND the Lord God hears their voice. He will keep the needy safe and safe His people.
Application:
This reminds me of the prophet Elijah and he wasn’t the only one left. There were others and the Lord God showed Him the truth. The Psalmist knows and I need to know and God’s people need to know that He will keep His people safe and will protect them so that His Kingdom will come. God reigns and He is the Ruler both now and forevermore. ‘Though the wrong seems oft so strong, God is the Ruler yet.’ That’s the power I need to go forward each day – for He gives His people strength.
Prayer:
lead me and guide me this day Lord. Empower me so hat I am God strong. In Christ’s name. Amen.
1. God gives His people strength.
If we believe in His way, He’s swift to repay
All those who bear the burden of the day
God gives His people strength.
2. God gives His people hope
If we but trust in His word, our prayers are always heard
He warmly welcomes anyone who’s erred.
God gives His people hope.
3. God gives His people love
If we but open wide our hearts, He’s sure to do His part
He’s always the first to make a start.
God gives His people love.
4. God gives His people peace.
When sorrow fills us to the brim, and courage grows dim
He lays to rest our restlessness in Him.
God gives His people peace.
