I just finished reading “The Shack” by William P. Young.
This is not a book review, though it is a recommendation.

This book was good for me, it touched me deeply.
As I read through it, I found myself with tears in my eyes.
It touched me deeply, that’s all I can say.
What I liked the most about this book was how our relationship with the triune God was described.
Emphasis on relationship AND on the triune God.
It connects with how I have often tried to experience God in the mystery of the trinity.
The book also helped me to see through life, and not just look at it, to see through what I experience each day in a deeper, richer way.
Does that make sense?
It’s hard to put into words something that is so intangible.
Anyway, I find myself feeling the presence of the Lord in a more personal, wonderful way.
And the tears are flowing, the gift of tears.
It feels like I am connecting deeper with Him, just by having read this book.
I know that there are questionable ideas expressed in this book, it is a man-made attempt to describe the indescribable.
But I thank the Lord for the chance to encounter Him in this new way.
Read this book, and maybe you too will be blessed…
… blessed with something that touches you deeply,
… blessed with the gift of tears.
