Please Lord, just a touch!

PLEASE READ THIS FIRST: Matthew 14

What do you sense the Lord saying to you in this passage?

“Begged him to let the sick just touch the edge of his cloak.” (Matthew 14:36)
Can you sense the desperate faith in these people.
Can you relate to it in your own circumstances?
How could just a touch of the cloak be enough to be healed?
There’s no power in Jesus’s cloak; their faith and hope was in Jesus.
I am not begging to touch Jesus’s cloak, but I am begging for help.
Prayer is not a formal thing, it is the desperate cry of the heart.
Whether with words, or tears, or in silence – BEGGING for help.
I like how Jesus allowed them to touch his cloak.
And how God chose to let healing power flow through the cloak.
I’ve seen people hold a cross when they pray.
Or people who hold the bible as if it was a sacred charm.
A cross, a bible, a cloak, these are symbols of something greater.
Not something, someone… Jesus, God with us, God for us, God in us!
I am begging, I am touching, I am praying, I am reaching – help me Lord!
PRAYER
Lord Jesus, anyhow or anyway, through whatever means possible, hear our desperate begging for healing and help. Let all who reach out to touch you today be healed as well!
