PLEASE READ THIS FIRST: Matthew 13:1-30
What do you sense the Lord saying to you in this passage?
“Whoever has ears, let them hear.” (Matthew 13:9)
Most everyone has ears that can hear.
But not everyone really hears what they hear.
We know this for ourselves, we do not always listen.
Jesus often repeats this phrase when he teaches.
He is really challenging his disciples to pay attention.
Don’t just hear the teacher, really think about what they say.
Having been in church all my life, I have heard many sermons.
I’ve also sat through many lectures, read many books.
If I really heard what went into my ears, I’d be brilliant.
Jesus is challenging me to ask, am I really hearing him?

You may hear Jesus in a different way, speaking directly to you.
The Spirit of Jesus is speaking to each of us through his message.

PRAYER
Lord Jesus, I have heard you and your message so long, I’m don’t think it is getting through to me. I have ears, I want to hear. Open my ears to hear!
