    1. Prayer is one part of a relationship.
In marriage preparation, I teach about the ‘C’s of marriage
      – Communion: being one with each other
      – Companionship: enjoying, delighting, fellowshiping with each other
      – Cooperation: partnering together, doing things together
      – Communication: speaking and listening, verbal and non-verbal
Now apply this to our relationship with God.
Prayer is the communication part, but it must also involve communion, companionship and cooperation.

    2. Prayer needs to come before everything else we do.
Praying can be as easy as breathing.
Praying can be so difficult to do.
Praying together unites us in a way nothing else can.
Prayer can include any and every emotion.
