From my hands to His!

THE STORY OF JESUS: Acts 20:25-38
“Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace…” (Acts 20:32)
As a parent, I want so bad to protect my children.
I know that after they leave home, they will face challenges and struggles.
There are savage wolves, and a “roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” (1 Peter 5:8)
But there comes a point when it is out of our hands, when they go out on their own.
And like Paul, we must commit them to God and to the message of His grace.
Paul is leaving these young believers, and he knows it will be hard.
God’s grace is sufficient for them, it will carry them through their days.
Since He “bought them with his own blood”, He loves them more than we do.
Our hands are limited, but His hands are unlimited.
“No one will snatch (my sheep) out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” (John 10:27-30)
When my hands can’t hold or help the ones I love, I know His hands surround them.
As a Jesus follower, I am learning to I commit the sheep I love to God and His grace.
No one can snatch them out of His hands!
What do you sense the Lord saying to you?
PRAYER
Lord, it is scary to let go of the ones you love. Remind me that You love them even more than I do, and Your love is stronger than savage wolves and roaring lions. I commit them to You, and to Your grace!
