Just as Jesus accepts me!?

THE STORY OF JESUS: Romans 14-16
“Accept one another just as Christ accepted you…” (Romans 15:7)
We are all so different.
And we also have strong opinions about who is better.
We look up to the strong, we look down on the weak.
We criticize those who do not follow our religious traditions.
We avoid the unacceptable, and accept the acceptable.
But God shows His perfect love by standing with the weak.
He becomes one with the lowly, unacceptable, unbelieving, immoral.
Not with their sin, but with their desperate need.
Jesus is our pattern for God-like love, how we were made to be.
He did not ignore or legitimate sin…
But neither did He reject or alienate sinners.
Just as Jesus accepted me, we are to accept others.
As a Jesus follower, I know my weakness, and how I am accepted.
Who do I have a hard time accepting, that Jesus wants me to accept?
What do you sense the Lord saying to you?
PRAYER
Lord, sin is bad but You are good. You have shown me the way that good overcomes evil. May I show the same kind of grace that You have shown to me.

  1. Am I a stepping stone or a stumbling block?
TGIF = Today God Is First. And if that is true for me then the mind of Christ is in me and I treat all peoples with the mind of Christ. A oneness. God’s kids. Kids of the Kingdom and as kids we accept one another as children do. Oneanothering. And as His children we come to the Lord, happy in heart and with one accord we follow the Leader praising Him by what we say and do. Jesus I come. Lead me and guide me.

Out of my bondage, sorrow, and night,
Jesus, I come! Jesus, I come!
Into Thy freedom, gladness, and light,
    Jesus, I come to Thee!
Out of my sickness into Thy health,
Out of my want and into Thy wealth,
Out of my sin and into Thyself,
    Jesus, I come to Thee!

    Jesus, I come to Thee!
Out of earth’s sorrows into Thy balm,
Out of life’s storm and into Thy calm,
Out of distress to jubilant psalm,
    Jesus, I come to Thee!

Out of unrest and arrogant pride,
Jesus, I come! Jesus, I come!
Into Thy blessed will to abide,
    Jesus, I come to Thee!
Out of myself to dwell in Thy love,
Out of despair into raptures above,
Upward for aye on wings like a dove,
    Jesus, I come to Thee!

Out of the fear and dread of the tomb,
Jesus, I come! Jesus, I come!
Into the joy and pleasure, Thine own,
    Jesus, I come to Thee!
Out of the depths of ruin untold,
Into the flock Thy love doth enfold,
Ever Thy glorious face to behold,
