He will provide my every kingdom need!

THE STORY OF JESUS: Genesis 21:1-25:18
“God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” (Genesis 22:3)
God promised a great family through Isaac, and Abraham believed it.
When asked him to sacrifice Isaac, he knows its a test – God will keep Isaac alive.
This test sounds disturbing to us, but Abraham took it in stride, he had no doubt.
“By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice. He who had embraced the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son, even though God had said to him, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned. Abraham reasoned that God could even raise the dead, and so in a manner of speaking he did receive Isaac back from death.” (Hebrews 11:17-19)
Abraham embraces the clear promise of God, and acts on it.
Are there clear promises of God that I can believe, and act on?
The promises of God in Christ are for the kingdom, not for personal gain.
Follow Jesus, trust Jesus, live for Jesus, and you will be blessed, and a blessing.
If I invest myself and my life for Jesus and His kingdom, I will harvest a blessing.
“Peter spoke up, “We have left everything to follow you!’ ‘Truly I tell you,’ Jesus replied, ‘no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life.'” (Mark 10:28-30)
Every day I am tested whether I will embrace Jesus’ promise, and keep on serving the Lord.
When things go wrong, or success eludes me, or obstacles hinder me, that is when I need to say…
God Himself will provide my every kingdom need!
What do you sense the Lord saying to you?
PRAYER
Lord, You are the ultimate Lamb of God, provided to assure my victory over sin, death and hell. Help me to live accordingly, trusting in You to provide my every kingdom need.
