THE STORY OF JESUS: Esther 6:12-14
“Since Mordecai… is of Jewish origin, you cannot stand against him…” (Esther 6:13)
God promised Israel, “No one will be able to stand up against you!” (Deuteronomy 7:24).
As His missionary people, sent to bless the nations, they could not be defeated.
They could be opposed, they could be attacked, they could lose battles… but they would not fail.
Joshua was made the same promise as Israel entered the promised land (Joshua 1:5).
Their reputation was so strong, that even Haman’s wife and friends knew it.
The Jews were known as an odd people, but also as a God people.
Even in exile, under a decree of death, people still feared the Jews (or their God).
It is not that the Jews were so special, but that their God was so strong.
As Rahab explained to the Jewish spies, “Our hearts melted in fear and everyone’s courage failed because of you, for the Lord your God is God in heaven above and on the earth below.” (Joshua 2:11)
God is on a mission, to rebuild His creation kingdom and restore His creation family.
Nothing can stop Him from fulfilling this; no one can prevent His kingdom from coming.
“I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.” (Matthew 16:18)
This gives us courage when we are opposed, attacked, and even experience defeat.
As we join God and Jesus in their kingdom mission, we are unstoppable.
Be encouraged as you go into your day, and your life, for God.
As You share His love, bless those you meet, and represent Him, His kingdom is coming.
If you face setbacks, if you experience opposition, be encouraged!
“If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:21)
What do you sense the Lord saying to you?
PRAYER
Lord, as we invest ourselves with You, like You, for You, we can be confident that our labor is not in vain. You will establish the work of our hands, and no one can succeed against us.

think about it!

Anger is never without a reason, but seldom with a good one.
