The serpent will be crushed!

SCRIPTURE: Revelation 12-14
“I looked, and there before me was a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was one like a son of man with a crown of gold on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand.” (Revelation 14:14)
The signs here come from Genesis 3:15, the battle between the offspring of the woman and the serpent.
The one “like a son of man” is from Daniel 7:13-14, the promised messiah.
Behind the visions of monsters and persecution is a promise.
You will be persecuted, you will also die, but you will not lose.
God’s people – the fullness of OT (12 x 10) times NT (12 x 10) believers will be kept safe.
Their song will not die, their future is secure, for the serpent will be crushed.
“He will crush your head” (Genesis 3:15) is anticipated in “a sharp sickle in His hand.”
We should not be surprised that Jesus followers are under attack.
We should not be surprised that life in this world is hard.
But through it all, keep following the Lamb, keep singing His song (Revelation 14:1-4).
As I’ve said before, I do not get into figuring out the details of these revelations.
I don’t know who the beast is today, or what the number is.
But I do hang on to this: the serpent’s time is short! (Revelation 12:12)
“The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.” (Romans 16:20)
What do you sense the Lord saying to you?
PRAYER
Lord, You have defeated the serpent; my life is secure, but his days are numbered. Help me to keep singing Your song, even when the serpent attacks me.

  1. Observations/Application
And the battle continues. But er know who is victorious. God overcame then and still overcomes today. He is the Victor. He is in control. He saves His people. The devil’s schemes are limited both in time and effect since this is God’s domain.
Whom do I follow? Those who seem to have all within their power/grasp or God Who is in control? As part of His people, open my ears Lord and let me hear You speaking loud and clear.
    Worship God. Worship Him alone.
Be living letters. Epistles. Live for Jesus always. God will take care of me.
Stay true. Soon it will be harvest time.
