Just as Christ accepts you

SCRIPTURE: Romans 14-16
“Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you…” (Romans 15:7)
We are all so different.
And we also have strong opinions about who is better and who is worse.
We look up to the strong, we look down on the weak.
We criticize those who do not follow our religious traditions, or hold our beliefs.
We avoid the unacceptable, and accept the acceptable.
But God shows His love and greatness by joining the weak where they are.
He becomes one with the weak, the lowly, the unacceptable, the unbelieving, the immoral.
Through Jesus we see how God accepts us. by absorbing our issues into Himself.
Jesus is our pattern for God-like love, the kind of love we were made to emulate.
He did not ignore or legitimate sin, but neither did He reject or alienate sinners.
This is how you will know a Christian: if they accept sinners like Jesus did!
What do you sense the Lord saying to you?
PRAYER
Lord, sin is bad, harmful and destructive. But You are good, and You have shown me the way that good overcomes evil. May I show the same kind of grace that You have shown to me.
