Who moved?

SCRIPTURE: Malachi 1:1-4:6
“Return to me, and I will return to you.” (Malachi 3:6)
Many people are disappointed in their relationship with God.
God seems distant, unresponsive, uninvolved in the struggles of their lives.
Sometimes – not always – it can be because we are holding back from God.
This is what Malachi is pointing out, that they are only half-hearted towards God.
They go through the motions, but their hearts are not in it.
They cut corners, look for shortcuts, seek to do ‘just enough’ but no more.
God wants full and sincere devotion, and He offers that same devotion to us.
God is neither stingy nor stubborn, He wants a two-way love relationship.
A question to ask ourselves when God seems far away is… who moved?
I know for myself that there are many times when I am not giving my all.
In those moments, I hear God pleading, “Return to me, and I will return to you.” (Malachi 3:6)
What do you sense the Lord saying to you?
PRAYER
Lord, You are worth knowing and loving and serving… with all my heart. You have so much more in mind for me, if only I was open to it.

Great is the Lord! Open your eyes and see!
God is always great and I need to recognize this by my daily activities. Who do I serve? Self? God? Honour Him in all of my daily activities this day He has created. My God is an awesome God and I need to walk in His SonShine every day. I must be a stepping stone for all around to show that God reigns. My words and deeds must be aligned to God’s Way. My heart must always be turned towards home. I am in His care and I need to show that by what I say and do. Jesus reigns – also in me!

Our God is an awesome God
    He reigns from Heaven above

Where is God in my activities of this day? God needs to be first and I must ask ‘Is this God’s Way?’ God has been faithful in days past. Am I able to see His faithfulness this day? I am always in my presence and He makes me glad. Live it! Live for Jesus!
