Restoring God’s world

SCRIPTURE: John 17:13-19
“They are not of the world any more than I am of the world.” (John 17:14)
When God made the world, it was very good (Genesis 1:31).
But since Adam and Eve turned from God, the evil one has become the usurping prince.
“Not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.” (John 17:15)
This world was supposed to be our home, but sin has made it a dominion of darkness.
But Jesus has reversed this by refusing Satan’s lies and taking the curse of death.
Jesus has been restored as a true Adam, He now rules over creation.
And our job is to stay here, and follow Him, and help Him reclaim God’s world for God!
Every day we choose to live ‘like God’, we are helping Jesus restore the world.
Jesus beat the evil one, and now prays for our protection God’s world is very good again!
What do you sense the Lord saying to you?
PRAYER
Lord, every good word and deed, every refusal of temptation, every expression of love and patience… all this is kingdom work, helping to restore Your very good world. Protect us until the job is done!

In the world but not of the world.
Christ glorified the Father through His actions and I must do the same.
Adam and Eve walked and talked with God in the beginning and I too must walk and talk with the Father. I must glorify Him. I am in Kingdom service. And He has enabled us to do – to be kingdom workers. Glorify His name – to live for Jesus – that I must do each and every day.
