God wins!

SCRIPTURE: Psalm 125
“The sceptre of the wicked will not remain over the land allotted to the righteous.”.” (Psalm 125:3)
If God’s kingdom is coming, why does evil seem to be so strong?
If Jesus has all authority, why does the evil seem to be in control?
There’s no doubt about it, darkness is still strong and pervasive.
But it will not remain, it will not last, it’s days are numbered.
Creation belongs to God, and He has assigned it’s rule to humans.
But for the land thrive as God’s kingdom, we must rule like God.
Creation was made ‘very good’, and only goodness has a future in it.
Jesus came as a human to reclaim the world for God and humans… and He won!
The power of evil may seem stronger, but Jesus is in charge, and God surrounds us!
He is establishing His kingdom of peace, and it/we shall endure forever.

And though this world, with devils filled, should threaten to undo us,
We will not fear, for God hath willed his truth to triumph through us.
The Prince of Darkness grim, we tremble not for him;
His rage we can endure, for lo, his doom is sure;
one little word shall fell him. (Martin Luther, A Mighty Fortress)

What do you sense the Lord saying to you?
PRAYER
Lord, keep me focused on the triumph of goodness over evil, especially when it doesn’t seem that way. Surround the humble and needy with Your presence and power.
